This is about the Grim Reaper. for the action of dying, see Death

Death is also known as the Grim Reaper or, if you want to get technical, the anthropomorphic personification of death. He generally appears as the bearer of the bad news of death, unless you were planning on the demise of a sim. All other sims on the lot begin weeping the moment he appears.

[edit] Apperence

He wears a gray tattered cloak and carries a curved, black wood scythe. Underneath only a skeleton is visible (which fades off around the knees) and he has no face. When he "walks" (or rather floats, not dissimilarly to the way a ghost does), he leaves a short trail of smoke. Other standard accessories that he's seen with include a mobile phone, a clipboard, an hour glass. If your sim has Platinum aspiration and dies of old age, he wears a pink lei, holds a coconut drink (with a paper umbrella in it) and suitcase, and is accompanied by 2 hula dancers, each appropriately named "Hula Zombie".

[edit] Actions

[edit] Death by Old Age

[edit] With a Low- to Medium-Aspiration

He appears before the soon-to-be-deceased with an hour glass. The Sim (usually elder unless boolprop testingcheatsenabled true is employed) responds by attempting to wrestle the hourglass from the Reaper, who angrily brings forth a heavenly light that (presumably) sucks up the Sim and replaces him/her with a plain, grey, unmarked tombstone.

[edit] With a Platinum Aspiration

He appears before the soon-to-be-deceased (cued in with Hula Zombies and Hawaiian music). He offers the shocked Sim a drink. A suitcase has by now appeared by the Sim's side. Upon realizing that they are going to paradise, they accept the drink, and the Sim picks up the suitcase and walks forward, fading out of their world, leaving a gold-and-marble tombstone behind with a golden emblem of their aspiration on the front.

[edit] Death by Other Causes

This makes death unhappy (it's an unscheduled death, and therefore he has paperwork to do). He proceeds to observes the corpse (usually a Sim in the fetal position unless Death by Fire, Flies, or Satellite, and is therefore a pile of ash). He turns his scythe into a clipboard, looks at it, turns it into a large cell phone, and has an argument on said phone. After turning his phone back into a scythe, he conjures down the same bright light mentioned above, and a plain, grey, unmarked tombstone appears somewhere nearby.

[edit] Pet death

[edit] Dog

Much like Sim death, dog death involves a small argument on the phone. However, unlike Sim death, He throws a stick for the dog to catch, whereapon the dog fades into the distance (not unlike a Sim does in Platinum Aspiration Death by Old Age), leaving a dog urn behind.

[edit] Cats

Cat deaths are similar to dog deaths, as described above, except that the Grim Reaper teases the cat with a catnip mouse instead of a stick before the pet disappears into the hereafter.
